The participants of the II International Buddhist Forum will continue to work together to share experiences in the fields of traditional medicine, handicraft, the messages of the Buddha and many other areas. The moderator of the third day of the forum, Gabzha Lama Dymbryl Dashibaldanov, Doctor of Buddhist Philosophy, Rector of D.D. Zayaev Dashi Choinkhorlin Buddhist University, noted that the decisions taken at the International Buddhist Forum will contribute to further development of relations between countries practicing Buddhism and the regions of Russia.
Lobsang Zhalsan, Venerable Kensur Rinpoche from Drepung Gomang Monastery, India, noted that as the Secretary General of the Buddhist International Federation, he took part in many Buddhist conferences and events during his life. He thought that this Buddhist forum is very well-organized.
To sum up, now I have a completely different impression about Russian Buddhism. It was impressive to see stunning datsans, monasteries, a well-built educational system and a well-organized Buddhist community. I feel proud because I have never even thought that the Republic of Buryatia and this region could be so abounding in energy. When I left India, I was not very full of energy, but now I am recharged," said Lobsang Zhalsan.
The adoration of the Incorruptible Body of the XII Pandito Khambo Lama Dasha Dorzhi Etigelov, the discussion of his messages for many participants became a significant event during the forum.
It was a unique opportunity in my life to pay tribute to the teacher and the master. I saw Mr. Itigelov meditating. I think we are united by a single mission to spread the teaching of the Buddha. Our common goal is to contribute to making our planet comfortable not only for people, but also for all living beings. To make it a place of kindness, compassion and respect," says Bista Mukunda.
Did Khambo Lama Dagba Ochirov stressed that the II International Buddhist Forum has become a timely platform for international dialogue. "Initially, there were many questions why we needed such a platform. Now none of us has any doubts that such a forum is needed. The Buddha has given us teaching for two thousand years and we have the opportunity to discuss all the accumulated knowledge with the whole world. We extend our thanks to our teachers, the Sangha of Russia, the Government of Buryatia for coming up with and implementing such an idea as the Buddhist forum," concluded Did Khambo Lama Dagba Ochirov.
