Dear friends, we are honored to invite you to participate in the First International Buddhist Forum held in Buryatia and to discover Buddhist Russia, to meet Buddhist masters and scholars from all parts of the world and, most importantly, to visit the world treasure – Lake Baikal.
Terms and Conditions of participation
You can take part in the International Buddhist Forum "Traditional Buddhism and the Modern Challenges" by submitting an application by e-mail buddhaforum@yandex.ru or register on the website yourself. Once the Organizing Committee of the Forum has reviewed your submitted application, you would receive an invitation on the Forum letterhead to an e-mail address that you have specified. The decision to confirm participation is made by the Organizing Committee.
Foreign citizens from some countries can enter Russia using a single electronic visa.
Since August 1, 2023, Russian Federation resumed the order of foreign citizens entering Russian Federation with a single electronic visa.
In addition, since August 1, the list of foreign countries whose citizens can apply for an electronic visa to enter the Russian Federation has been expanded.
At present, citizens of 55 foreign countries, including Vietnam, India, China, Cambodia, North Korea, Myanmar, Singapore, Japan and other countries, can enter Russia using a single electronic visa.
Entry is possible through border checkpoints (https://electronic-visa .kdmid.ru/checkpoint.html) according to the list approved by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 2571-r dated 06.10.2020.
A single electronic visa gives the right to single entry with a guest or business visit, as a tourist, as well as a participant in scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic and sporting events. The visa is valid for 60 days from the date of registration. At the same time, you are allowed to stay in the country is no more than 16 days from the moment of entry.
Advantages of a single electronic visa:
Quick registration - an electronic visa is issued within a period of no more than 4 calendar days, regardless of weekends and holidays.
Simple registration - no invitations or confirmations are needed. Just fill out an application on the website.

On August 17, 2023, coffee break zones (for participants) and lunch area (for VIP guests) would be arranged at the Physical Culture and Sports Complex at Ryleeva Street, 2.
On August 18, 2023, coffee break and lunch zones (for participants) would be arranged at Ivolginsky Datsan.
On August 19, 2023, coffee break zones (for participants) would be arranged at the Buryat State University (BSU).
Forum venue will also have designated cafes arranged (but paid for separately).
