A Delegation from Mongolia Arrives in Buryatia

This morning, a large delegation from the Republic of Mongolia arrived in Ulan-Ude. Representatives from the fraternal country will participate in the II International Buddhist Forum.

As the guests themselves say, the concepts of "Mongolia" and "Buddhism" are inseparable; over 50% of the population adheres to the teachings of Buddha, and the delegates are ready to discuss and explore the prospects for the development of Buddhism.

The II International Buddhist Forum “Traditional Buddhism and Modern Challenges” is being held in Buryatia from August 12 to 14, 2024, at the initiative of the Head of Buryatia, Alexey Tsydenov, with the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The forum will be attended by representatives from 15 countries: Bangladesh, Belarus, Brazil, Bhutan, Vietnam, India, Cambodia, China, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Japan. The total number of participants is expected to exceed 600.
